THE TROPHY-ANNUAL ESHA MEMORIAL SEMINARSince our inception, the highpoint of our designed Skills-Development activity for our trainees is the Annual Seminar Presentation, which is undertaken by all the trainees as the culmination of their Soft/Life-Skills Development Programme. Every year we arrive at two prominent issues of concern that confronts us, and develop them as the Themes of the Annual Seminar. Further, each trainee-participant selects a topic in consonance with the Seminar Theme; researches on it under the guidance of our mentors and presents it in the Seminar. As a learning process, they are expected to involve and take recourse to all the procedures, techniques and interactive methodologies that go into a high-level professional presentation; including the use of State-Of the-Art audio-visual Presentation equipment. The Presentation is followed by a question-hour with a participative audience.
The entire Seminar is digitally recorded through CCTV and Digital Camcorders and a detailed debrief of the presentation is carried out by our experts of the individual presentation. Further, the synopsis of the presented topics are collated as a white-paper and circulated for referral and archival purposes. The trainee-participants are awarded certificates at the end of the Seminar, as the finale to their learning process.
To bring in a sense of high quality, professionalism and a healthy competitiveness amongst the trainee-participants, the following awards are presented at the end of the Seminar :
The Seminar participation by the trainees is reflected in their End-Of-Training Portfolios which they carry with them for their future interviews and job placements.
Dedication in the memory of Phoenix Alumni Late Miss Esha Mohanty
Esha joined Phoenix in May 2006 for the MBA Entrance Training Programme, in the 2006-2007 batch. In a short span of time, Esha became the cynosure of everyone through her dedication, sincerity of purpose and her inimitable personal qualities that set her apart. It was a concordant opinion of all Phoenixians. As time went by, she stood out amongst her peers in topping the merit of her B.Sc.(Botany) degree course of the Ravenshaw University and at the same time qualified in the MBA entrance test to join the prestigious IIRM, Jaipur. At IIRM too, she won the hearts of all in no time. But fate had determined otherwise! She succumbed to the deadly grasp of dengue that came without warning and left us all awestruck on that fateful day, while others were busy celebrating the Festival of Lights, Diwali, 9 Nov 2007.
The Phoenix family rose in unison, like a ship’s crew struck on the high seas! When the storm passed, we gathered our distinct memories and compiled a Memorial Brochure in her honour and unanimously decided to dedicate the most prestigious and sought after activity of Phoenix - The Annual Seminar Presentation - in the name of Late Esha, and have renamed it as "THE ANNUAL ESHA MEMORIAL SEMINAR".
